Hitmate Junior Ltd Oy was founded to manufacture fencing equipment for beginners. The company was built on a foundation provided by Hitmate Ltd to expand on experience with fencing equipment development and manufacture since 2003. The same rigorous standards that made groundbreaking wireless fencing technology available have been applied to development of new patented mechanism for plastic swords.

The beginnings of new plastic swords took place several years ago, when testing with various mechanisms for delivering signals of hits were started. The result of these tests were prototype systems that performed the task but didn’t meet the durability standards that we set.

Finally, the founder of Hitmate came up with an idea to place the switch that registers hits to handle of a plastic sword. This started a series of tests with materials and components. Various possibilities were refined to compose a hit detection system we can now offer for plastic swords. After this work, Hitmate Junior can confidently say that the mechanism we have developed is the most durable hit detection system that can be done for plastic swords. We have tested all options. The result is a plastic sword with patented system for fencing training.

Following the success of the original Hitmate wireless epee system, Mini Hitmate was introduced for plastic swords. This completes a plastic sword system that offers flexibility where training can be done.
